
As Security Manager of 5 other locations, I was responsible for all Safery & Security related issues and needs. Making sure the security staff are in complete uniforms, working accordingly to company standards, providing monthly schedule. We as a security officers are to provide a safe & secure store for all staff, clients, and vendors. Preventing - the lost of life, theft, and vandalism. Calling local police & fire dept. as needed for all crisis. Escort or stand by staff when handling merchandise or currency as needed. Provide additional security during private - offsite engagements/parties. Transport/courier of merchandise or currency from location to other locations. Monitor cctv as needed. Opening and closing procedures, making sure doors are locked, alarm is set/armed then escort staff to the parking lot.
As an Armed Excange Security/Lead Officer our duties are as follows:
Protection of all floor personnel/employes, traders, runners, guests/visitors, and vendors from harm and terrorist attacks. Monitor cctv - over 200 cameras,
Patrol all 3 trading floors (financial, agriculture, mid am flrs.), visitors center,, CBOT Depts., and Executive Offices. Monitoring and search all purses, briefcases, satchel, and bags before entering the trading floors, making sure all floor personnel are wearing CBOT id's. trading jackets/suits, and their attire is presentable (no sweatpants, shorts, or bluejeans. Enforce all Rules & Regulations of the CBOT and issuing citations for their offenses. Security coverage for our President, Chairman, Executives, and all other Political Figures (President, Senators, Governors, and Mayors) visiting our Exchange. Security coverage for all special events. Assist our Paramedics/Police on emergency calls within our Exchange. Preventing the lost of life, theft, and vandalism. Making apprehension and arrests when called for by our Security & Police Dept. On a normal day at the Exchange we might have about 20,000 floor personnel on our trading floors.
I have completed 20 hours of basic security training and certified Additional 20 hours of firearm training and certified Basic handcuffing training at the CBOT
Monitoring cctv, responding to motion and contact alarms on the computer in the command center
Deescalation training at CBOT
Greeting, assisting, and dealing with the public in a polite and professional mannar (public relations training)
Complete incident reports and daily logs accurately
