  • Assigned to the Support Operations Division. K-9 handlers establish policy and procedures governing the use of the Santa Fe Police Department's canine (K9) Unit. Enforces department policy, enforces Santa Fe Police Officers Association contract, enforces City of Santa Fe Rules and Regulations, and is the upper-level manager for the units. The K-9 Officer is also available to assist other agencies upon request. Maintaining a log of all K-9 Team's training, deployments, community contacts and apprehensions. Ensure that all reports are completed before ending a tour of duty.
  • K-9 Commander, responsible for daily operations to ensure K-9 Officers comply with the Standard Operating Procedures of the Santa Fe Police Department.
  • Other duties as Senior Police Officer consist of:
