American Sign Language

I learned how to sign language at home since I was about 9 yrs old because I had an older sibling who was born deaf. So as I grew up I learned more each time and by the time I was of age to really understand that having a deaf sibling was the only way to communicate and understand her needs as well as her understanding my needs. It gave me an opportunity to communicate in the real world with those that are less fortunate than I was, the Deaf, Hard Of Hearing & Impaired.
