-Plan & manage construction & maintenance activities of the Power Dept.

-Delagate & oversee tasks that are given to the Power foreman and their gangs.

-Check & approve employees labor sheets.

-Provide technical guidance to employees in the field.

-Work closely with other departments to get jobs done in a timely manner.

-Enforce company policies and procedures.

-Work closely with Design Dept on print changes.

-Send employees to mandatory company classes.

-Ensure all employees are working safely and with proper PPE.

-Plan, lead and coordinate the work of the mechanics in Bethpage EL&P Tool Room.

-Responsible for material needed for all projects and maintenance.

-In charge of all tools and equipment used.

-Check inventory, charge out and distribute needed materials for various EL&P Gangs.

-Order material from designated railroad vendors.

-Prepare requisitions from PeopleSoft program.

-Receipt for material received from previous orders.

-Purchase material requested from Third Rail and High Tension Dept.

-Charge out material from Stores Department.

-Check the inventory on the LIMS program.

-Stock storage rooms.

-Make deliveries to various locations.

-Electrician for various EL&P Gangs in projects and maintenance.

-Duties included new construction, running conduit, pulling wires, installing light fixtures, outlets and

switches.

-Installing new electrical services.

-Changing ballasts, troubleshooting electrical problems.

-Following directions from Gang Foremen.
