and shutdown of generating units and associated equipment. Coordinates operations with the Electric

& Gas Control Center to ensure reliable operations of the electric system. Closes and opens switchyard

circuit breakers as required. Operates Zero Discharge facilities (Purdom) and selective catalytic reduction

(SCR) Monitors all operating conditions and parameters and makes necessary adjustments or initiates

corrective actions as required for safe and efficient operation. Records operating conditions and readings

in plant logs. Coordinates site activities, including maintenance and security, to ensure safe and reliable

operations. Reports problems or abnormal conditions to the Shift Supervisor. Monitors and controls

generating units to ensure operations are conducted within all safety, operational and environmental

requirements. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, prepares and issues clearances on all

equipment that is out for repair; Safe Work, Confined Space, Hot Work and Excavation Permits. May direct

the work and training of apprentice personnel. Participates in safety training as required. Checks with

the operator being relieved for special orders and operating conditions. Reviews logs and makes visual

inspection of panels and equipment. Performs other duties as required.
