On JW Scott Farm we are farming corn and soybeans only. The farm is 7000 acres big. Duties I perform on the farm during the year is basically anything where attention is needed.

Duties include the following:

• Responsible for field preparation before planting.
• Operating farm equipment such as: tillage, planter, sprayer, combine.
• Mixing and application of herbicide and insecticide.
• General farm equipment maintenance, and repairs.
• Managing 5 other employees.
• Hauling grain.
• Involved in all farming operations from field preparation to harvest.

• Worked closely with employees to improve practices, techniques and safety choices, optimizing performance, and minimizing waste.
• Hired, trained and supervised workers engaged in farm practices.
• Led team of 5 skilled and unskilled farm personnel.
• Managed day to day operations with cattle and sheep.
• Identify, treat and vaccinate sick animals.

• Hauling grain.
• Operate pull behind fertilizer spreader.
• Operate rock roller.
• Operate combine.
• Operate grain cart.
• General maintenance.
