As a Middle School ENL teacher, I support English learners by co-teaching in ELA classrooms and helping students build their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. I work closely with ELA teachers to plan lessons that support both language development and grade-level content. I use strategies like small group instruction, visuals, and sentence frames to make learning clear and accessible. I also communicate with families and use tools like Google Classroom and translation apps to help students stay engaged and succeed.
I attended a Vocational High School where I specialized in drafting. In my drafting classes, I learned to design blueprints both by hand and using AutoCAD, a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) software. I also had the opportunity to visit Turner Construction during high school, before the construction of the new Yankee Stadium, where I proudly displayed one of my school blueprints. This experience gave me a strong foundation in technical drawing, design, and real-world applications of drafting. In addition to my academic and technical training, I was a committed member of the girls’ varsity volleyball team for four years and was honored to serve as team captain, developing strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
