My experience at the Farm Share Food Distribution was definitely eye-opening, working alongside a team devoted to distributing, package, and sort fresh meals to those in our community in need. While volunteering in this event I felt a sense of gratitude and purpose. It felt rewarding and admirable knowing that my efforts contribute to a greater cause and help families in my community access healthy food. One challenge that I faced was managing a large group of people, it became a little overwhelming at times, ensuring everything went according to plan, but as a collective group we figured out was to work together. Something that really resonated with me was the smiles on people’s faces when they received the food along with the gratitude shown and the sense of communities coming together and helping those in need of help.
