Accomplishments

  • Improved state test scores in the area of science in 2023. Students who earned a score of advanced or proficient on their Missouri Assessment Program Test were a total of 73.02% from my classes. The district average from the other five elementary schools was an average of 60.4%. Students who scored basic or below basic from my classes were a total of 26.98%, whereas the district scores in the same criteria were 39.6%.
  • Commended for exceptional teaching and support to students by receiving the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. This is in recognition of outstanding achievement in the classroom in November 2018.
  • Collaborated and partnered with the PBS (Positive Behavior Support) team and held a leadership role to strategically identify students who were at risk and created opportunities for mentoring activities which led to higher student success.
