This position plays a major role in educating the retailer on AWG deli bakery programs that drive same store sales to attain maximum profitability. It is my responsible to develop and implement promotions and merchandising programs for long term success. I am trained to serve the members in total store operations but my primary focus is Bakery/Deli.
Responsible for making regular planned store calls to support the growth of profitable sales while serving as a liaison and communicator between the customer and the company. Service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits. Performs necessary analysis and planning to assure total store merchandising goals, objectives and priorities for assigned members are established and met within time limit. Responsible for market analysis of the competitor's merchandising strategies with the ability to analyze the impact and provide advice on countering measures. Collaborated closely with other district managers to share best practices, learnings, and drive overall success of the organization.
Determine location of ad and promotional displays, ensure product quality and quantities to meet customer and store demands and profitability. Stay current with market trends and information (i.e.; competition, new products, equipment, merchandising techniques). Maintain status as a Certified Food Safety Manager. Select new employees and act on employee problems. Have the authority to recommend and approve employee transfers, promotions, discipline, discharge, and salary adjustments. Assist the store director in overseeing the store and act on issues in the absence of the director. Provide leadership in actively pursuing sales goals with increased sales and profitability. Monitor expenses and recommend cost reduction programs. Coordinate the actual physical inventory for the store, verify the accuracy of the information and put together monthly P&L.
