- Gina was 1 of the co-founders of Flint Rising, a coalition of Flint Residents and community groups, labor, and progressive allies that formed in response to Flint's emergency declaration.
- She is currently an organizer with Flint Rising, Public Speaker, and Director of Dying For A Drink, a community group that services families in Crisis, water education, and training in water and Filtration services.

- Gina has nearly 20 years experience in managing as well as being a business owner and entrepreneur.
- Gina has been featured on PBS NOVA, Netflix, and Norman Lear's American Divided, speaking out about the problems with Flint's water and with Michigan's Emergency Management of local governments.
