I am an eager, intelligent hard worker. I have many talents and skills from office machines and software to working with customers to driving a commercial vehicle with either passengers or a Class A vehicle combination tractor trailer up to 80,000 pounds. I like being a team player and helping where I am needed not just what my job responsibilities dictate. I show up early, stay until the day's job is done and come back tomorrow ready to do it again.
I will arrive before 6:00 am, so I can clock in on time, ready to move. I am no stranger to 10 - 14 hour days, if needed. I prefer my weekends to reset so that I can attack the next week with a smile, but Saturday mornings can be available if the pay is a good fit. I am not the fastest worker, however, I am quite thorough by assessing as I go. For example, in my current position, I will take necessary precautions with failing equipment. There can be no one on the yard, but I have a failed or failing trailer or dolly. I write it up, take it to the appropriate place and drop it off. No one would follow up if I were to just leave it and not write it up. Also, I will notice other equipment on the yard that is not mine and will at least report it to prevent another driver suffering a roadside failure at least and a major accident at most. So working hard and thoroughly is not a foreign concept for me.
At 18;00, I will pack up and make sure location is secured as safety measures require (not my job description). I do my best to prepare my space or equipment for the next day's work to minimize clutter and early morning frustration having to clean a mess. During clean-up, I note low supplies, needed repairs or unnecessary equipment in the way, or any positive suggestions for change to help streamline processes. While at work, I give 100%.
