• Performs radiographic procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to protocols.

• Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.

Position#1- X-Ray Technologist

• Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical settings throughout radiology department. Works closely alongside the radiography student to perform exams as well as perform individual image evaluation.
• Operates x-ray and auxiliary equipment processes images; maintains and cleans equipment.
• Utilizes film markers and ensures images are properly marked as the ‘right’ or ‘left’ side.
• Ensures consent form for procedure is obtained if necessary.

Position#2-CT Technologist (6/2019)

• Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment for all IR procedures.
• Ensures standard infection control precautions are observed.
• Explains procedures to patients, monitoring for patient safety and comfort before and during scans.
• Positions and immobilize patients on examining table using supportive devices to obtain precise patient position and following protocols specified by radiologist.
• Administer contrast as needed ( IV and/or Oral).
• Process, develops and reformat images as required, networks images to PACS.
• Performs equipment QA and calibration as needed.

Position#3- Pediatric X-ray Technologist CCMC(10/2020 to 04/2022)

• Prepares pediatric patients for exam to relieve patient of pre-testing anxiety, translates examination into laymen terms.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Work closely with the physician to receive guidance and instruction for treating level I and level II pediatric trauma patients.

• Operates MRI equipment, prepares patient room to take diagnostic images of specific body parts as ordered.
• Ensures no metal objects accompany patient into procedure room.
• Reviews and ensures accuracy of screening forms completed by patient, including the IV contrast materials information sheet.
• Explains procedures and sets up equipment to administer the proper procedure in a timely fashion.
• Ensures that a consent form for IV contrast materials has been obtained.

• Interview patients to obtain medical information, weight, height measurements and vital signs.
• Perform routine labs such as throat and urine cultures to be prepared for lab testing.
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Perform other duties as needed such as applying splints and assisting the nurse/doctor in other medical procedures.

• Provide portable x-ray services for bed-bound and mobility limited patients including all healthcare related facilities, home-bound patients and government facilities within the 5 boroughs.
• Provides service using DR/CR technology which enables images and results to be available moments later online.
• Perform electrocardiograms to detect and record the electrical activity of the heart in order to detect and locate the source of heart problems.

• Perform basic general X-rays of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankle under the direction of a radiologist.
• Records an accurate and up-to-date QA log book including pregnancy form and daily check off list.
• Assist with patient flow into a clean exam room from waiting room utilizing flag system.
• Obtains vital signs on patients brought into patient rooms and document appropriately in the EMR.
