Summary

I have most experience from being in the food industry. I have a great record of exceptional customer service with a great sense of urgency. I like to think of customers and guests as just another human connection, not only a paid conversation. I get a thrill out of helping others in any way possible. Experienced in organizing supplies and equipment for efficient use making it easily accessible for emergencies or just an easy clean-up. I am a team player with a drive to reach organizational goals. Being a lead for a section, I needed and appreciated constructive criticism. By allowing that, I have created great, communicative relationships with higher up management making me eager to learn with aptitude for applying new knowledge with skill and efficiency. In every job I have had to handle cash and credit card transactions. I am greatly skilled at being able to hold deep customer conversations and manage money exchange at the same time. Making myself a highly adequate cashier in well established, fast-paced, and challenging environments. Also helping me grow in being an organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Energetic Crew Member/Waitress/Cashier/Stocker offering outstanding skills in customer service, food safety and inventory restocking. I am a customer-focused food service worker devoted to meeting team and customer needs. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals. Hardworking and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure entry-level section-leader position. Ready to help team achieve company goals by preparing for the holiday seasons, any significant calendar events, and strategizing business sales to do their absolute best in any day of the year.

Work History

Crew Member

Trader Joe's
05.2022 - Current
  • It's been an amazing pleasure and a great honor to be employed here at Trader Joe's
  • The customer experience has been the best part
  • During my time here I was appointed to be a section leader for the beverages section
  • I absolutely loved being in charge of my own department of the store
  • It gave me plenty of room to express my creativity and learn how positioning certain products can help get the customers attention
  • Having this position also came with a lot of determination
  • I gained a lot of knowledge on how to train my colleagues and give great tips so we can all work efficiently, and in sync
  • Therefore, we make each other's positions easier and the business greater
  • Beverages is the heaviest section to work in all of the establishment, being that I am the shortest girl here, it helped me build great stamina
  • I also worked as a cashier every day
  • That's the best time to converse with customers and help them wind down after doing some heavy shopping
  • Writing the inventory of a big part of the store, and being hands on with cash at the register helped me be quick with cash, transactions, and just numbers overall with a great sense of urgency
  • I would even build friendships with our regular shoppers
  • That brought a bunch of joy to me more than anything.

Server/Bartender

Gyu-Kaku
05.2019 - 05.2022
  • Working with this company at this location took a lot of patience, memorizing, and a lot of urgency
  • It was like my Starbucks job yet a little less hectic
  • I was both a server and bartender during my shifts because many of my colleagues didn't know how to make the drinks on our menu, or they just didn't have time to make them because of how busy we'd get
  • Many of our customers complimented my mixed drinks and more than half of the time would ask for another
  • Many of my tasks were to remember the marinates of the plates so I can correctly input the orders into the system, and also answer questions for customers with no hesitations
  • I've made amazing connections with our guests to the point where they'd ask to be seated in my section.

Barista

Starbucks
07.2019 - 02.2021
  • Thoroughly memorized the menu
  • I worked every position except supervisor
  • Which included cafe cashier, drive-thru cashier, drive-thru speaker, barista in cafe, barista in drive-thru, barista in frappuccinos, and also 'lobby' which was always making sure the cafe looked squeaky clean, including the restrooms and outside of the store
  • Lifting heavy boxes
  • Washing dishes
  • Sweeping/mopping
  • I had to be very quick and focused during the majority of my shift
  • I worked at a very busy store with a drive-thru that always had a line wrapped around the parking lot
  • I managed well with my co-workers, many of them knew how to be quick and neat, some didn't
  • My focus was on making sure that at least I did so I can play my position great
  • Communication and urgency were very critical
  • I believe it is every job actually
  • If a customer had a complaint I was concerned about anything regardless if you want to speak to a supervisor or not I made sure to tell the manager that was on the floor that day
  • Also, being a very busy store we really need to communicate with each other with what we needed from each other or just products we needed restocked ASAP
  • My experience being a barista at Starbucks was amazing
  • I connected and built relationships with customers and also a few of my colleagues
  • But once we were almost a year deep into the pandemic, I had too many situations happening at home that needed to be taken care of.

Driver

Royal Paints
09.2018 - 02.2021
  • Organized orders for auto body shops
  • Created written receipts or invoices using Quick Books
  • Greeted guests and handed them any products they needed
  • Delivered products to body shops
  • I built a very strong bond with this shop's owners
  • Even 'til this day I'll visit and have lunch with them
  • Many bonds were formed with body shop owners as well
  • It even came to a point where the customers would text/call me personally to take an order.

Waitress

Xevichez Sushi Bar
08.2017 - 11.2018
  • Greeted guests, wrote down or sometimes memorized their drinks and food order
  • I also strictly checked I.D's for alcoholic beverages
  • I also did great memorizing our regulars orders
  • Memorized a four-page food and drink menu
  • Over twenty sushi rolls, it was important to know what came in/on every single one of them
  • Also had to master being politely strict on all you can eat
  • I had to manage being under stress and have an optimistic attitude during peak hours, especially weekends
  • This popular restaurant taught me how to be my best, even on my worst days.

Server/Cashier

Hook Burger
08.2016 - 10.2017
  • Memorized the whole menu, including every time a new item was added
  • Took easy and complicated orders, including complying to guests who were non-dairy or had any allergies
  • Walked around the establishment, indoor and outdoor, to ask guests for refills or if anything can be done to make their meal better
  • Greeted guests and handed them our menu
  • I learned many health regulations, accomplished a Food Handlers Certificate
  • Also was an expeditor, which required me to quickly examine meals before being handed out
  • Started off as a cashier, which has a huge responsibility with handling cash and credit cards
  • (We had to swipe back then.) I also never went a shift without having an over or under balance on my till
  • Learned a POS system, quickly and easily
