Gisselle Jordan

Lansing,Michigan

Summary

The Wilson Talent center course I completed in high school taught me employ-ability skills. I was graded on six criteria which were attendance, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, organization, work ethic, and coach-ability. I had deadlines for every project which required me to work fast and efficient. The program I was enrolled in was new media which required me to use my creativity and learn new tools that I've never used before such as different software and equipment. I was required to complete many group projects. At the end of the school year I completed an after school presentation of my portfolio to parents and guests.

My baby sitting job gave me experience on responsibility of others, accountability, adaptability and problem solving. I made sure to maintain the space. I communicated with their guardians.

The AP course allowed me to gain confidence in completing challenging assignments. I passed AP pre-calculus both semesters.

Varsity soccer allowed me to develop important skills. I was accountable to show up to every single game and practice. If I had an absence I knew how to communicate it every single time. I often took constructive criticism.
