  • District agrees to pay employee the salary / hourly rate listed above, contingent upon Governing Board approval. In the event there is a difference between the salary amount / hourly rate stated here and the amount in the 2022-2023 Board approved salary, the Board approved salary shall govern. In addition, eligible Employees (those employees with FTE of at least .75) shall be provided all health, dental, and other benefits provided to full-time employees of the District by the Governing Board for the fiscal year.
  • Employee acknowledges that his or her employment is “at will” and may be terminated by the District, or by Employee, with or without cause. Termination shall be effective upon Board action. No legitimate expectation of continued employment is created by this Letter of Reasonable Assurance, understandings with the District or its agents, interpretations of Board policies, salary compensation schedules, job descriptions or documents generated by the District.
  • Employee agrees to perform, well and faithfully, the duties of the position assigned by the Board through its Superintendent. It is agreed that all District rules, regulations, policies and procedures now existing, or hereafter enacted or amended, and that all State and Federal laws and State Board of Education rules, now existing, or hereafter enacted or amended, relating to the conditions of employment, shall impact the terms and conditions of employment, but Employee shall have no vested rights therein. As a condition of employment, you are expected to comply with the requirements of the job description and Board policies.
  • Employee acknowledges and agrees that the Board may, at any time: (A) terminate his or her employment; or (B) reduce the Base Salary, not to exceed 5% of the Base Salary, and/or require Employee to take up to five (5) furlough days, if any of the following events occur: (1) the District fails to receive during the 2022-2023 fiscal year funds in the amount initially budgeted for pursuant to A.R.S. § 15-905, or the District fails to receive any other source of anticipated funding for the 2022-2023 fiscal year; or (2) the Board determines that such termination or reduction is necessary to effectuate economies in the operation of the District or to improve the efficient conduct and administration of the schools of the District. The Employee shall be given no less than 20 days notice in the event termination of Employee’s position or a salary reduction becomes necessary. For purposes of this Letter of Assurance, “furlough days” are assigned work days for which the Employee would normally receive pay that the Employee will not be required to work and for which the Employee will not be paid. Accrued leave benefits may not be used or taken in lieu of unpaid furlough days. If the Legislature approves additional funding for the specific purpose of increasing salaries or education funding after Employee signs this agreement, the District shall increase Employee’s Base Salary in the amount approved by the Board.
  • For ASRS Retirees: Employee acknowledges that he/she is an ASRS retiree who has returned to work pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-766.01 and 38-766.02, and agrees to all provisions of §§ 38-766.01 and 38-766.02, which are incorporated herein by reference. Employee further acknowledges and agrees that 1) pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-766.02 the District must pay the Alternative Contribution Rate (ACR) established each year by ASRS, 2) the Governing Board has elected to split with Employee the yearly cost of the ACR, and 3) the split results in a salary reduction for Employee to pay his/her share of the ACR.
  • When no specific personnel transfers are expected, the District reserves the right to change the location of your assignment based on the best interests of students and programs.
  • Employee and District agree that should the District require Employee to attend a mandatory staff meeting or to perform any other duties for the District, the District at its option may provide occasional meals, refreshments, incidental food items, and soft drinks, of a de minimis value, to its employees on District property for the District’s convenience consistent with I.R.S. Publication 15-B. The determination of whether providing such items is for the District’s convenience shall be made by the Superintendent or his/her designee, taking into consideration such factors as employee fatigue, time on task lost by an employee leaving District premises to purchase such items, and time saved in overhead and other operational expenses of District facilities by being able to close for the day earlier as a result of providing such items on site.
  • By electronic signature, you represent that you have not committed or been convicted of any dangerous crime against children as defined in A.R.S. §13-604 or any offense described in A.R.S. §15-534(B), and that no such charges are currently pending against you. Should you be arrested, charged with, or convicted of any such offense while employed by the District you must immediately report such arrest, charge or conviction to the Superintendent.
