Promote unit vision and culture for patient centered care through:
· Identify clinical and practice opportunities through the review and trending of SOFI reports and collaborate with Nursing Leadership Team to develop interventions
Identify clinical and practice concerns and collaborate with the CNS and CNM
· regarding mentoring/coaching requirements
· Perform mentoring/coaching with staff in a timely manner to address quality/safety issues identified.
· Engage staff in decision-making and project management to drive change via the Professional Governance structures
· Support staff with conflict management and personal needs
· Mentor/Coach staff for performance opportunities, to include disciplinary action process if warranted
· Conduct interviews of candidates for staff positions and hire in collaboration with unit interview panels
· Oversee onboarding and training of all new staff (new grads and experienced)
· Coach and mentor staff through EBP initiative development
· Attend and provide leadership mentoring at all UPC meetings
· Deliver annual performance evaluations for all direct reports, ensuring peer appraisal has been completed with assigned peers over the last year.

· Develop and implement annual unit goals to improve patient outcomes and maintain a healthy work environment.
