I made the varsity cheer in my freshman year of high school along with three other freshmen. I learned how to be part of a team and work with a group of girls I can now call family. We pushed each other to be the very best and lifted each other up when somebody was down. We had a lot of charity events for the town we lived in as well. But the event that spoke to me the most was the fundraiser for the children at the hospital. We collected blankets, books, and toys for them to have during the holidays to make them feel special and at home.
