As Part of being fire crew member for Monterey Bay Crew 1, I underwent a handful of stressful situations while Suppressing fire, training for fire encounters such as prescribed burns, learning how to properly handle mechanical tools and power tools, meeting CAL FIRE grooming standards and uniform policies, & applying situational awareness during any fire hazard events. The skills &Knowledge I have gained while my time on MBY1 Crew:

- Ability to use fire suppression tactics

- Fuel Reduction- clearing/cutting brush with various fire tools

- Maintained a high level of physical training and endurance

- Equipment Maintenance- sharpening mechanical tools/ chainsaws

- Initiative and reliable towards my crew and supervisor

- Able to perform general station needs- keeping the center/ apparatus spotless

• Conducted regular campus security patrols and handled all incidents promptly to maintain overall safety for staff, students and visitors.
• Improved knowledge of security services available to students and campus personnel by participating in workshops and Group training.
• Patrolled and monitored premises in company vehicle, on bicycle and by foot.
• Responded quickly to emergency situations to assess and deflect issues.
• Secured premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Secured entrances and exits by maintaining physical presence and carefully monitoring CCTV.
• Updated shift logs and produced daily reports to document security activities and specific incidents.
• Participated in ongoing training and professional development programs to maintain updated knowledge of security procedures and technologies.
• Supervised other campus security personnel and provided procedural and situational guidance.
• Reason for leaving was to join the california conservation corps and join the fire crew.
