Description:

The Claims Billing System (CBS) is a web-based application that creates invoices for self-funded health insurance clients, with an average annual invoicing of over 42 billion US dollars. The system can invoice paid claims, related expenses, administrative fees, and other items. Users can navigate through drop-down menus and tabs to access functions and view almost all data by accessing a bill account. Each bill account generates a set of invoice reports and allows users to perform various functions, such as updating administrative retentions for new contract terms. Additionally, the system provides management reports during each invoice generation cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Developed a REST API using the Spring Boot framework for Angular UI and downstream Spring Batch applications.
• Generated Swagger documentation for APIs using Stoplight and exported them to set up APIs in Gateway.
• Configured APIs in Axway gateway and set up application-level security for the APIs in Axway.
• Implemented Drools framework within the Spring Boot API framework.
• Designed and developed several Spring batch applications using Threads.
• Set up Kafka topics for both Streaming and Producing. Implemented DB2 Topic using CDC (Change Data Capture) process and also worked on Java to Topic.
• Designed to transform a legacy application into a modern application.
• Understood Legacy System and prepared HLD and LLD to fit the business logic in the Modernization platform.
• Worked with Upstream and Downstream applications on defining Data communication between the systems.
• Transformed complex business logic into simple components and decoupled the business logic from Java functionalities.
