I have spent the majority of my life living in the hospitality world. Whether it was helping my mom prep for an event, running a banquet of two hundred people, or pulling shots behind the bar I love all of it. I am passionate about creating an experience for others. To be more specific, I love providing an experience or service that leaves the guest feeling welcomed, wanted and known. My time being a barista allowed me to cultivate that practice. I took some time off to travel and I now looking to get back into the hospitality and service industry through the best way possible, the world of really good coffee.
This position was at a conference center so managing the dinning hall meant serving three seamless meals a day to three hundred people. I was responsible for training and scheduling all wait staff, communicating the guests needs to the kitchen, and ensuring high end service. I also managed the ice cream bar which included keeping track of inventory/ordering as needed as well as training employees.
