The ACCS Program Director oversees the clinical, financial and administrative operation of a GLE/SIE program that is designed to promote independence, community integration and full functioning of adults receiving mental health services. Based out of a Group Living Environment (GLE) or Supported Independent Environment (SIE), the ACCS Program Director will create a helping environment in the residence in which all are welcome, respected and valued by upholding Vinfen and DMH policies, supervising staff and coordinating clinical services within the program.

• In consultation with the unit therapist and educational staff, under the direct supervision of their unit director, they assist in the formulation and implementation of the treatment plans for all the children on their unit
• In addition to working directly with the children, assistant unit directors are responsible for planning unit activities and insuring adequate unit coverage
• Assist in the development of treatment plans, IEP goals, and behavioral programs, and complete the necessary unit paperwork in the absence of the unit director.
• Monetary budgeting aspect of the unit director role, complete unit time sheets.

• Assess, evaluate, conduct initial and ongoing case management of children/family services, and needs
• Develop, review, update and ensure implementation of strength-based service plans for each child in care or custody including risk assessment, safety plans and goals
• Complete all documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements
• Attend home and foster care visits; transport children to health, social services or other agency-related appointments as required
• Maintain ongoing communication with DCF staff and other constituencies, initiate court action when necessary
• Empower families to make stable commitments to children by providing counseling and coordinating visits with biological parents and/or guardians and other relatives; develop a helping relationship and ensure needed supports and services are provided
• Attend weekly supervision, weekly staff meetings, in-service training, and team meetings
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the community, with clients, schools, courts and with referring agencies seeking to build and sustain positive relationships

• Possesses basic knowledge of the principles of case management in order to manage a caseload, prepares and develops Solution Based case plans in conjunction with the family to ensure that objectives and tasks are being achieved, that court orders are being complied with, when applicable, in accordance with State and Federal Statute
• Establishes and develops relationships with children and their families in home; arranges and provides services to prevent further abuse/neglect and to enable the child to remain safely in his/her home and maintains contact according to policy
• Establishes and maintains relationships with children in placement and their families and arranges and provides services to enable children to return home, and makes other alternative permanent plans if appropriate under the direction of the supervisor
• Maintains contact with these children and families according to policy including transporting children and families as necessary

Facilitates effective and timely permanency through concurrent planning that supports children, families and caregivers, and assures that connections are maintained and that children do not leave care without a viable permanent connection

• Provide support to individuals by assisting in the development and implementation of facilitative, behavioral and recreational programs in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives
• Ensure successful implementation of ISP's, use of appropriate methods, coordination of services and crisis intervention
• Assist and facilitate activities of daily living, such as household maintenance, personal-care and hygiene, budgeting, leisure activities and socialization skill development
• Attend individuals' review meetings and accompany them to various appointments; Transport individuals to work, recreational activities - Maintain individuals' confidentiality and records; preserve individuals' human rights by complying with applicable laws and regulations

• Provide after-school programming for urban elementary school students which include assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of all components and program activities in the afterschool program
• Work with a team to ensure high quality supervision and engagement with youth
• Work 1:1 with children to observe, intervene, and support as necessary
• Facilitate groups for roughly 15 children via an established curriculum
• Manage contact with family members as needed to ensure proper communication around child needs
