I am looking to gain experience in clinical psychology to continue a passion and curiosity I have with the field and to assist in helping people who struggle with mental health disorders. I am hardworking, dedicated to my interests, and am willing to accept any opportunity to help me further my ambitions.
With my background in being a camp counselor and babysitting, I have experience in developing positive environments for others while also maintaining a safe space for them and learned to look after other people. While my experience is limited, the communication and problem solving skills I have cultivated from these experiences will assist me in any work pertaining to clinical psychology and interacting with patients.
Worked as a senior counselor at YMCA Camp Nissokone for a few sessions over the summer.
Over the years I have worked as a babysitter for a variety of families in my hometown with kids of varying ages, each family was a different experience but all were fulfilling and insightful.
Worked the concessions stand at my local rice rink.
I've played ice hockey since I was five years old and it has been a way for me to stay active/be part of a community since I was little. I also enjoyed throwing bowls in my ceramics class in high school and experimenting with different kinds of glazing. Reading stories has always been a way for me to enjoy my alone time and in more recent years I began writing my own stories, and even received a silver medal from Scholastic for a short story I wrote last year.
