Worked as a Packing Pharmacy Technician during winter breaks throughout college, preparing and packaging prescription medications accurately and efficiently while following established pharmacy procedures and safety standards. As a volunteer on a mission trip to Guatemala, I served local communities through children’s ministry, community outreach, and medical support. I assisted with Vacation Bible School activities, interacted with children and families, and worked alongside other volunteers to meet the needs of the communities being served. This experience strengthened my communication, teamwork, adaptability, and interpersonal skills while allowing me to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Shadowed an elementary school speech-language pathologist during senior year of high school to gain firsthand exposure to the field of speech-language pathology in an educational setting. Observed speech and language evaluations, individualized therapy sessions, and collaboration with teachers and school staff to support students’ communication needs. Gained insight into the role of an SLP in a school-based environment, including treatment planning, documentation, student interaction, and individualized care.
