This job was a step into the EMS field so that I could prepare myself to start as an EMT in doing so I have experience in things such as

• Communicating via radio and using 10-codes to receive and transmit information.
• Delivering clear communication to dispatch and medical facilities and providing detailed information regarding patient conditions.
• Checking ambulances for the proper functioning of lights, sirens, and other safety features before each shift.
• Responding promptly to emergency calls by driving safely at high speeds when necessary.
• Transporting patients to and from residences and medical facilities in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Replacing supplies and disposable items to maintain inventory after each run.

I used this job as a stepping stone for my chosen career in EMS, by doing so I was able to become certified early on in AED, CPR, and oxygen, along with that I have been able to have the experience of assisting with minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and falls, along with being able to asses people for potential risks as well as

• Reporting any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to management immediately.
• Filling out incident and accident reports and submitting them to my supervisor.
• Providing assistance to swimmers of varying skill levels.
• Giving thorough and detailed instructions on safety procedures to patrons to prevent accidents.
• Administering immediate and comprehensive first aid to injured and distressed patrons.
