I’m a Business Administration student at the University of Washington, concentrating in Finance, and I’m expected to graduate in Winter 2027. Over the past few years, I have balanced school with part-time work, gaining hands-on experience in multiple industries including food service, retail, and tutoring. These experiences have taught me how to manage time, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly to new challenges.
I have several work experiences, right now at Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, I started by learning every store position, from front-of-house customer service to back-of-house food prep, and eventually became a trainer. I am responsible for teaching new employees how to succeed in their roles. Similarly, at Ross and McDonald’s, I gained cross-functional experience across cashiering, stocking, sales floor, and customer service, which strengthened my ability to work as part of a team and handle high-pressure situations.
In addition, I have been tutoring children in Chinese, which has helped me develop patience, organization, and a personalized approach to teaching. This experience also enhanced my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and adapt my approach to different learners skills I know are valuable in any professional setting.
I am passionate about pursuing opportunities in finance and business where I can combine my analytical skills with the practical experience I have gained. I am motivated to take on internships and entry-level roles that challenge me and help me grow as a future finance professional.
