I am a Junior at Calvin University, studying to become an Elementary and Special Education Teacher. I am energetic educator with proven skills in teaching diverse subjects. Keep classrooms organized and students on-task to facilitate effective learning. Diligent and adaptable in meeting individual student needs with warm, safe educational environments.

From September 2022-December 2022

EDUC 330 Internship

• I was in a kindergarten classroom at Dickinson Elementary school with students who were on the autism spectrum.
• There were 9 students in total. Each student had different needs in school.
• Learned how to work with paraprofessionals and other staff at the school.
• I learned how to create lesson plans based on different students' levels of intelligence.

From January 2022-April 2022

EDUC 302/303 Internship

• Was placed in a first-grade class at River City Scholars Charter School
• The class had 28 students, one student had autism and a few others had ADHD.
• Gained lots of lesson planning experience, and had to create lesson plans for this class.

From September 2020-November 2022

EDUC 102 Internship

• Observation in classroom
• Worked at Grand Rapids Christian Middle School
• Was mentored by a special ed teacher there
• Had different classes and worked with a few different students.

Faith is a very important part of my life and I believe that a good policy is to remember to treat others how you should be treated. I love to volunteer at my church in the kids ministry and love volunteering in general.
