Manager overview: deactivate the alarm and turn on all the lights
Ensure the closing team from the previous night left their stations sanitized, organized and ready for the morning shift
After making sure everything is good to go, I work on the daily prep
The daily prep is a system that helps the employees know how much to prepare for the day
As a manager we run the labor for the day and compare it to how much we are selling
We insert the numbers for the budgets of the week as well as making sure the temperature sheet have been filled out
Fuddruckers works with a 2nd party for their produce, it's called Mac Edwards, we receive their delivery every morning except Sundays
I would then receive the invoice and reconcile it and just take advantage and reconcile every other invoice that hasn't already been reconciled
When Sunday rolls around I won't have so many files to do and the GL would be so much faster to do
A GL is a guideline we send over to the office so they know what needs to be paid such as FPL, Waste management, Sysco, and Mac Edwards
Then follows, taking out all 5 registers and counting the safe going through the store making sure all the temperatures are right, that there's no cross contamination
Doing a walk through on all the employees making sure they are at ease, basically getting everything ready for 11pm when we are open to guests
The store opens at 11pm as previously mentioned, and normally we have 2 managers in store already
The closing manager comes in at 12pm
Between the two managers that are already there we do a run through on the employees for the day
If we have an event such as a Fundraiser or a large party, etc
On operating hours (11 pm-10 pm) as a manager you run the kitchen alongside another manager and you have a griller
1 manager stays in the front handing out the orders and handling any customer complaints we might have, as well as helping the cashier
As the time goes by we cover breaks, and take our own 30 minute break
As time goes by we as managers just make sure the store runs as smooth as possible
One of the managers will help our team close their stations if we see they are behind on their closing
While the other has already started to close out the registers filled out all the paperwork, made the Mac Edwards order, print and do the nightly inventory, trying not to leave so much to do for the last minute
Within 30 minutes of the store being closed we have employees letting us know that they are now done to please check their station and so we proceed to do exactly that
The manager in the office, is now just reviewing the safe and making sure all the registers at the amount they are supposed to be at
Check emails for any customer feedback we might have, filling out the nightly checklists, and doing walk throughs and trying to help the employees out if we are done with our part of closing
Once all employees are clocked out, we print out the last of our paperwork, leave everything organized in the office for the morning manager, set the alarm, turn the lights off then after a long day finally go home
