I did my clinical hours for the MRI program through Owens Community College at Lima Memorial Health Systems. As a student, I performed all the tasks an MRI technologist would do under the supervision of a registered MRI technologist. I will be doing my next clinical rotation at Mercy Health Perrysburg Hospital to complete my hours before graduation in May of 2026. In Lima, I learned to scan on a Fuji Oasis 1.2T open scanner and a 1.5T GE closed scanner.

• Collect patient from the waiting area or ER rooms.
• Go over MRI screening form with patient and get patient dressed for exam.
• Go over history and reasoning for exam with the patient.
• Relay all patient information to MRI technologist.
• Perform MRI safety precautions and standards.
• Load power injector if needed, and get room ready for patient with correct coils.
• Assist the MRI technologist with getting the patient on the table comfortably and efficiently.
• Upload images for the radiologist using PACS and another other patient information.
• Assist the MRI technologist with getting the patient up and the room cleaned for the next patient.
