People say that I was born to lead , guide them on the right paths and be an advocate for those who do not have a voice. With this career, I have become a best friend, a mother figure, a counselor, someone the students can trust and a reason they show up to school. These students have also changed my life. The amount of compassion, eagerness to succeed, and faith in them has surpassed the capacity I thought I could have. When you think of becoming a teacher, you don’t realize just how attached you become to the students and how much you care for them to succeed in life. My compassion for helping others and willingness to advocate are strengths in becoming a teacher. My goal is to make school their safe place and gain an experience the students won't forget.
