Studied under artists such as Jeff Whiting, Judine Somerville, James Gray, Corey West, Richard Gatta, Timothy Hughes, and Brian Martin. Selected to perform as Showcase Principle Dancer.


COLLEGE OF WOOSTER MODERN DANCE COMPANY

  • A faculty-directed, student-led performance group for Departmental dance concerts. Developed 10 semesters of performance experience. Choreographed and debuted 6 original dance pieces. Studied styles including modern, contemporary, postmodern, tap, street, and Chinese classical.


CHASING INTERNATIONAL DANCE TEAM

  • A student-led team aiming to bring an alternative dance perspective to campus. Performed original works by professional and student choreographers from all over the world including Japan, Republic of Korea, China, Vietnam, India, Mexico, and across the United States. Served 4 years as Team Captain. Organized performances, maintained club documents, taught workshops, and facilitated community development.


THE KENNEDY CENTER AMERICAN COLLEGE THEATRE FESTIVAL

  • A pre-professional academic conference for developing theatrical artistry, professional skills, and industry connections. Attended for 3 years, submitting design work for the Design, Technology, and Management competition and participating in the Musical Theatre Intensive. Hosted a workshop-panel on traditional Japanese performing arts. Advanced to the National Festival in Washington, DC and received scholarships to New York intensive programs.

  • Dedicated a full year to researching the history, methodology, and globalization of Butoh. Studied abroad in Tokyo under Nakajima Natsu, Alishina Juju, and Agastuma Emiko. Published in June 2024.

ASIAN THEATRE: FROM SOUTH TO EAST, TEACHING ASSISTANT (Fall 2023)

  • Discussed the history and cultural development of theatre forms across the Asian continent. Co-taught the Japan unit and provided students with first-hand experiences related to Kyoto Art Center education.
