It had been my life long goal to be a police officer. My passion and interest started with my family who is in law enforcement. My interest grew more when I began with the Explorer Program with LPD and I started to do ride-alongs.
Since I've been with LPD, I know this is the place that I belong. I had set goals for myself since before my first interview. I have accomplished almost all of these goals since being hired on.
My next goal is to become a supervisor with LPD. I believe I have the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to take on a supervisor role. I don't collapse under pressure, I thrive under it. I'm currently a person that the afternoon shift supervisors put trust in to help lead their shift.
I became an SFST Instructor in October of 2020.
In September of 2020, I became a member of the Driver Team, for the Boone County Special Response Team.
In 2021 I became CIT certified, a gun liaison, and a general instructor.
2021 Officer of the year.
July of 2022, I became a Defensive Tactics Instructor and an Operator on the Boone County SRT. Shortly after being on the team, I took on a leadership role, and became the coordinator for all Boone County SRT Drivers.
Since July of 2022 I have continued to go to trainings that have furthered my knowledge and experience in Defensive Tactics and SRT. These trainings have not only assisted in those specialties but they also have made me a better patrolman and leader for LPD.
I have worked all five years of patrol solely on afternoon shift. In my five years, I have worked on or assisted with countless major incidents, that have not only occurred in Lebanon, but in all Boone County.
