I worked full time for 3 summers with Sunshine Landscaping on a varied array of projects from drainage, hardscapes, lighting, design and plant installations and irrigation. The owner, Bill Sigmon, described me as "handles each new project with enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn and then contribute ideas." Further he stated, "From my experiences with Graham, he has the character, values, intellect, and abilities to succeed at whatever he chooses to do." These words mean a lot to me because I respect Bill and learned so much from him. Since Bill owned his own business and I was one of two employees, I got to see first hand how to run a business and interact with different customers. Being part of this professional atmosphere for 3 summers in a row showed me how to interact with all different kinds of people and how much time and effort it takes to run a successful business. During my junior year I completed a semester long internship at a wellness facility called Coolgevity. The business was based around red light therapy and cryotherapy for healing and recovery. This internship allowed me to learn how the owner started the business and how to interact and satisfy customers, These experiences in working with small business owners has given me inspiration and insight into the business and entrepreneurship world.
