In 2020 I was in the Together We Bake program, during my attendance in this program I excelled in many ways. The first big accomplishment was being chosen to be apart of the meeting we had with the attorney general of Virginia, the meeting was about women needing mental health evaluations verses immediate incarceration. Within a few months of having this meeting I was recruited to be apart of commercial for the program i also attended called The Friends of Guest House. Once I graduated from the program I start working for Whole Woman's Health, and dedicated all my time into helping more women in a difficult time. I continued to volunteer my time to TWB by becoming a job counselor. A year after I succeeded the program I was notified that I was selected to be the recipient of the Most Empowered Woman's Award, when they introduced me for the award the first thing they said was; I work in a woman's clinic called WWH, and for some of these women just like myself this was unheard of and a dream job. This is the highest award in the program, and not just in the program we were broadcasted from Virginia to Ghana, attendees were the attorney general and governor of Virginia, the mayor of D.C and over 200 other supporters, we also raised over $100k for women/mothers in need. I still volunteer for this program and will presenting the same award I received to the next recipient in May of 2024.
