  • As an FTE I was hired to perform due diligence for companies under consideration for acquisition from an SAP R/3 perspective.
  • As I participated in functional groups to learn how SAP was being planned, I spotted a gap in the data conversion area. I volunteered to utilize my project management skills to fill the gap.
  • Managed 2 onshore and 1 offshore resource utilizing MS SQL DTS/SSIS in the data mapping, cleansing, load file creation and validation of data for phased roll out schedule.
  • Oversaw business reviews and process flow document development. Worked with SME’s and developers in solution review of unit tests, UAT and integration testing to insure scope delivery.
  • As the cutover manager, I managed the work streams of all the functional groups in system configuration, training, infrastructure roll out, security setup, post go live support for each roll out. These 25-35 resources were a combination of FTE project staff, contractors, on shore, offshore and matrix staff from shared services.
  • Managed 13 offshore resources that would assist in the phased roll outs and provide production support in the post go live model. Managed consultants assigned to various functional areas to deliver projects.
  • During a delayed period, due to business needs, I managed a 5-million-dollar hardware project that consisted of workstations upgrades, server installs, VOIP, T1 communication line upgrades, CISCO switch installs and file server conversion.
  • Provided IT oversight for new construction and relocation of west coast sites.
  • Implemented EDI utilizing IDOCS in SAP R/3, sent to a VAN for processing by vendors.
  • Worked closely with developers in cleansing and load program development to support implementations.
  • Managed the data center relocation testing efforts for the migration out of Home Depot data center that included 6 servers in the promote to production landscape. This project was more complex due to the changing of the hardware, OS, database, and SAP software version on destination servers in HD Supply data center.

  • As an FTE in the information systems group, I was responsible for the delivery of 28 projects. Some of the major projects were SAP R/3, Manugistics, Acquisition Integration, KRONOS implementation, 5 ERP migrations, MES rewrite, Data center build and relocation, QA Systems upgrades and Cabling/Hardware upgrades. End User training for ERP systems, trained QA Systems users and developed training materials with vendor.
  • I was responsible for planning and execution of 17 of the projects while supporting ERP software, QA/QC systems and hardware for a manufacturing site in Raleigh from 1995 through early 2002. The remaining 11 projects were completed from 2002 to early 2006 in Edina after a division office consolidation.
  • Utilizing my project management skills, infrastructure background and software application delivery experience, project scheduled completion dates were met, risks were identified and effectively mitigated, and communications to executive leadership, stakeholders and customers were achieved.
  • Planned and executed the SAP R/3 OTC data conversion which included Customer Master, Vendor Master, Material Master, Sales History, A/R and G/L. Due to the 100% validation of all data, we had minimal go live issues.
  • I planned and managed the cutover which included contingency planning. The cutover executed in 1.5 days earlier for our division during the 4-day cutover holiday weekend. Project award for leadership excellence obtained for work on this project.
  • Planned and executed the integration of an acquisition in 4 months utilizing a new ERP system, evaluated new functionality that met the user needs, migrated data and provided the training for sites in California and Missouri.
  • Managed consultants and developers assigned to various projects in their functional SME areas.
  • Planned and executed the re-write and hardware upgrade for an aging undocumented MES system at a printing operation providing data to ERP for shop floor integration.
  • Planned and executed the KRONOS web-based technology installation which combined 3 client server-based systems into 1 consolidated system. Converted data from legacy systems to new servers.
  • Planned and executed the migration of 5 ERP systems into a common ERP to minimize the need for multiple sets of interfaces to SAP. Lead the data mapping, conversion program development and data migration at go live.
