As the Director of Finance at CCHS, I'm responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's finances to maximize financial health and transparency. I regularly collaborate with staff, the executive director, trustees and donors to ensure I fulfill my responsibilities to the best of my abilities. This is a part-time job.

Duties and responsibilities:

Full Charge Bookkeeping

• Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payables, receivables, general ledger and bank reconciliation.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure adherence to regulatory and legal requirements.

Financial Management and Reporting

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and data integrity and integration.
• Liaise with external CPA for audits and tax filings.
• Maintain and oversee grant, donation, fiscal sponsorship and programming finances and reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income and cash flow statements to executive team and board of directors.
• Evaluate financial risks and recommended risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive team and board, supporting long-term sustainability and growth initiatives.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Collaborate with Executive Directors and board members to create and manage annual budgets.
• Monitor budget variances and provide ongoing analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders to inform decision-making.

Other responsibilities

• Responsible for Wordpress website administration, including management of all plugins, backend transactions, and merchant accounts, web page development and maintenance, and collaboration with Google analytics admins.
• Currently participating in development of a comprehensive strategic plan for the organization.

The Eye Consulting is a partnership that specializes in home renovation. I serve as the financial manager and also participate in the construction/renovation of projects for the purpose of learning the fundamentals of home construction/renovation. This is a part-time job.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including project costing, profitability analysis, and return on investment (ROI) assessments to inform strategic decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets; provide accurate cost estimates and ensure adherence to financial goals to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality renovation standards.
• Vendor and Contractor Negotiations: Negotiate contracts and payment terms with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize cost-efficiency and project timelines
• Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable, to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations and project financing; identify and assess financial risks associated with renovation projects and proposed risk mitigation measures.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

As the owner of WSG, I provided real estate investment services to private families and individuals for the purpose of helping them establish long-term financial wellbeing.
