Physical Therapist Assistant with extensive experience treating both outpatient and inpatient populations. Recently retired from thirty plus years in the field seeking to provide per-diem coverage in a rehabilitation setting. My primary employment for the past two decades has been as inpatient Physical Therapist Assistant at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a Long Term Acute Care Hospital recognized for achieving optimum outcomes within spinal cord injury, stroke, TBI, pulmonary, and complex medical patient populations. I possess the ability to quickly gain a patients trust by building a compassionate and professional rapport. Evidence based interventions focused on progression of functional mobility, pain management increasing strength, balance and endurance are the hallmarks of my daily interventions. I have an innate ability to share my clinical expertise through demonstration of safe technique and easily understood patient education. I have served in a position as Patient Experience Liaison and have been instrumental in the formation of a Patient and Family Advisory Council.
