  • Lean Kaizen yellow belt supervisor overseeing 130 union employees while working on Six Sigma green belt, with 5S, VSM, FIFO and TPM lean training.
  • Incident commander for 2nd shift, which involves fire police or rescue directions and being the contact for those departments, responsible for giving the all clear to return to the facility.
  • CPR/AED, blood born pathogen and first aid responder.
  • One of my strong leadership skills is placing employees in positions where they will succeed.
  • I was responsible for starting a movement at Masonite when I started asking the questions of why we pass bad quality to the next department
  • We eliminated a step in the process at Masonite by having all machine operator’s looking at quality and fixing errors right at point of contact saving the company time and money.

  • I started out as a general laborer and was recognized as one of the top 8 employees and given the opportunity to advance my career, becoming a supervisor in May 2011.
  • As a supervisor I was in charge of 80 people and later became the senior supervisor.
  • One of the most important parts of the job was cutting costs by 3% year after year, implementing lean manufacturing and cross training all machine operator.
  • Being part of the safety team helped with incident reports, workers compensation adjustments and brainstorming ways of making the company a safer place and more profitable place to work.
  • Continued online human resource classes helped explain questions to employees.
  • Setting up a Kanban system for over 200 skews helped with the inventory.
