I have worked in various industrial settings between chemical plants, power plants, manufacturing mills, paper mills, etc. I have years of experience operating a few pieces of heavy equipment. Previously held an OSHA 40 card and was Caterpillar loader and wheeled excavator certified through caterpillar. I am dependable, always on time and I rarely not show up/ call off. Currently looking for an opportunity to grow with a company
This company fabricates capacitor stations for electric companies. Think of big metal storage sheds with capacitors and different types of electrical equipment. Fabricating steel frames according to blueprints then using galvanized sheet metal panels for walls and roof.
I've mostly been mig welding here and some stick experience prior to this job. Cut, form and assemble metal parts according to blueprints. Assisted in layout and fitting of parts prior to welding. Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. Interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Lots of work with 1/8th sheet metal. For the last year and a half I have been the night shift team leader.
I ran various heavy equipement to perform tasks on constructions sites. Types of equipment were excavators, articulated haul trucks, logging skidders, front end loaders, etc. I mainly worked on a pipe laying crew and a little bit on their logging operation.
Most present job, its a control room job. Controlling the whole woodyard. Monitoring different machines and conveyors. Feeding logs to the chipper, then feeding chips to the silo to be stored for use. Monitor logs being moved around on conveyors to prevent plug ups from occuring. We are also responsible for chips being conveyored to our pulp mill to make pulp for paper. Along with feeding bark and biomass to our power plant. I also frequently fill in for our heavy equipment operator roles around the yard
Before january this year, I was a Mobile Equipment Operator in charge of feeding logs into the debarker to be chipped. Along with unloading incoming log trucks for inventory and moving logs around our mill property. Maintain and fixing our roads around the woodyard to keep truck traffic flowing. Loading trucks with a cat 938 with a high tip bucket with either bark or dirt/gravel. I have alot of time in the seat of cat 325 wheeled excavator with grapple, cat 3040 lmh with a grapple, cat 938 payloader and skid steers. Some experience running dozens. Also laboring to keep our property in good order and to prevent fires and such. I moved out into the woodyard in January 2018.
From sept 2014 to January 2018 I worked on the paper machines assisting in the papermaking. Tearing down and repulping bad paper. Setting up cores for paper to be cut to size and wound on to. I was a spare turbine operator at one time which I can not remember the timing. With that job I had to control and monitor steam turbines with drive the paper machines.
