  • Served as a Port State Control (PSC) and Foreign Freight Inspection Officer responsible for inspecting flagged ships to ensure compliance with both domestic and international ship inspection laws and regulations to promote safe, well-equipped foreign ships in waters subject to the USCG’s jurisdiction
  • Responsible for inspecting ship’s bridge and equipment, crew accommodations, Deck/cargo, Machinery spaces, Fire systems, Lifesaving, crew drills, security and safety management
  • Led over 150 PSC exams ensuring for the safety of the ship and crew
  • Was lead on an exam team that detained a vessel for dumping oil overboard bypassing the Oily Water Separator
