- Read a picklist to determine which wire rope to run for the customer. Be able to run take-up machines to spool the rope from the master reel to another reel to send to the customer. Be able to tell the difference between wire ropes ranging from 1/8”-4”. Press buttons needed for the size rope being ran or weld end links on the end of the rope. Strip off different lengths of plastic off of the plastic-coated ropes, depending on the customer’s request. Running various size forklifts and 2 different weight rated overhead cranes. As a Lead, keeping track of orders that go on each line. Being able to troubleshoot and solve problems on each line and the orders they are running. Also helping out when needed around different areas of the building, like loading flatbed trucks or dry vans for LTL shipments. Aside from being a Lead, I was also a part of the safety committee before it was disbanded by upper management. Time gap in this employment was due to covid.
