With over 19 years in the corrections industry I have equipped myself with knowledge from security to classification. I have also gained much knowledge of how the administration handles day to day operations of the institution. Having the opportunity for many years now to work along side our administration during emergency exercises to assisting with the tracker during severe weather events. I've had the opportunity to revise our escape plan books for our officers roving zones. This included detailed directions with photos of the zone turn around spots understanding that all employees are not local and may have never been where they have been ordered to go. During the times of COVID I was put in a position to over see and supervise our classification department with approximately 50% of staff on leave. By being open and able to think outside the box I have gained knowledge from every administrator I have worked for. I believe you have to look for ways to learn something new every day to improve your self as a supervisor which comes first by listening.

I believe what makes a good supervisor a great supervisor is a willingness to learn every day and understand that you may not always be right. This means to me that listening to others opinions and them knowing their opinion matters helps build a great team and completes more task in a more efficient manner in most cases.
I pride myself in being professional at all times and that my integrity is most important at work and in the community. I'm very low tempered and have a knack for deescalating most all situations and communicating in calm manner during intense situations.
