Evaporator Operator/Waste Water Operator
World Energy U.S. Biofuels
01.2016 - 08.2017
I managed two roles at U.S. Biofuels, a biodiesel production facility. One role involved operating the evaporator, a machine that draws in various products from a tank—such as glycerin, oil, fatty acids, methanol, and water—and transfers them to what we referred to as a flash tower. This tower was heated to a specific temperature and a vacuum was applied. The objective was to evaporate the moisture, methanol, and water from the byproducts like glycerin, oil, and fatty acids. The reclaimed byproducts were then reused within the plant to produce more biodiesel. Additionally, I adjusted the pH of the byproduct to a basic level for sale to other companies. My responsibilities also included waste water operations, which entailed reconditioning used water by adjusting its pH and filtering it to make it reusable in the plant.
Drafted reports detailing machine production outputs and material quantities.

Adjusted machines to increase productivity for runs.
