I am currently a Job Coach for individuals with Developmental disabilities and Autism. I help them go out into the community where they do volunteering, activities and recreational work. I am there to just assistant if they need anything and help them meet their goals. They do most of everything themselves and we just lend a helping handle if they need anything.
I was a Residential Assistant for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. It entails, assisting them with any needs so that are able to be self sufficient with community work, recreational activities and any sort of house work they may need. I was an awake overnight residential assistant where i was helping the individuals/clients with getting them ready for the day, prepping food, assisting with whatever needs they was required from me. I did that for about 2 years.
