During my tenure in the United States Air Force, I have had the privilege of acquiring diverse skills while working towards becoming proficient in the roles of a Bioenvironmental Engineer and Industrial Hygienist. This multifaceted job demands mastery of math, science, and medical skills and the development of administrative and human resource competencies. As a bioenvironmental engineer, it is often said that we are the "jacks of all trades," I have fully embraced this challenging role with enthusiasm and dedication.

  • Conducted experiments to achieve drinking water research objectives
  • Created technical and research documents such as environmental impact reports and documented them into DOHERS
  • Meet with Guam EPA once a month to guarantee all data meets stringent quality control standards
  • Respiratory Protection Program Manager for the base- My role is to teach and collect data about respiratory health also to make sure workers are wearing proper PPE in inhalation hazard environments
  • Fetal Protection Program Manager for the base- My responsibilities include the well-being of expectant mothers and their unborn children
  • This involves conducting health risk assessments whenever notified of a worker's pregnancy, ensuring that all necessary protection measures are in place
  • Environmental Protection Program Manager- I took multiple samples of water from wells, childcare centers, and schools to check for bacteria, PH levels and the amount of chlorine in the water for everyone's safety
  • I also took samples in the village of Yigo, Guam to ensure the town’s safety
  • Wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) Program Manager for the base- The WBGT was a device I used to monitor temperature, humidity, wind, and solar radiation to notify work rest cycles to the command post for the base.

  • Environmental Compliance: Understanding environmental regulations and Air Force policies related to environmental protection and compliance and advising that Air Force operations follow these requirements.
