Assigned the role of Battle Non-Commissioned Officer before mobilization overseas, stepping into a role that superseded current rank in the military.
As a task force Battle Non-Commissioned officer, leading a small staff of personnel, we provided daily supervision of all flights assigned to our mission. Our tasking order spanned over 9 countries and 12 areas of operations.
While deployed, worked with other task forces, headquarters, the State Department, and the command team to resolve daily issues and work through the highest CENTCOM threat postures. Along with tracking personnel changes due to COVID-19 and how to continue forward mobilization.
During operations, the team was required to track all flights within our scope, which included fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and MEDEVAC missions, along with maintaining the paperwork per Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Army guidelines.
The operation included but was not limited to, managing our military intelligence reporting, current-day weather, ground operations, and aviation operations. Additionally, was assigned to prepare our commands daily, weekly, and monthly products that portrayed all the actions that occurred within our area of operation during that period.
