Executive Director

Valley Animal Center
01.2015 - 12.2020
  • In my role, I was accountable for 30 full-time employees, 400 volunteers, and an average of 350 homeless cats and dogs, being the largest no-kill animal shelter and low-cost clinic in the Central Valley. I lead a team of Business Development and Marketing Managers that built, maintained, and increased our exposure year after year in both the media and grants awarded, locally and nationally, by 120%.
  • I developed, monitored and managed daily operations that included the logistical and supply chain operations, and annual operating budget of $2.8 million, staying in alignment with the organization’s guidelines. I regularly created problem-solving tools and strategies in our animal care department that led to consistently rehoming over 900 animals each year, including costly special or critical cases that became funded 100% by donors through relationships in the community that I maintained. I collaborated with local businesses and donors to create a 5,000 square foot low-cost animal clinic expansion that increased revenue by 30% in the first year.

Hunger Count Manager

Fresno Hunger Count
01.2014 - 12.2015
  • As the Hunger Count Manager, I was responsible for all aspects of the short-term project created by the Founder. I recruited, trained, coached, and managed a 65-member team that efficiently gathered 63,000 surveys through Fresno County in one year. From the surveys, I assisted in helping identify food insecurities by culture, and the correlation of declining job performance by adults, and learning disabilities with children. As a hands-on leader, I took great pride in partnering with food distribution partners and food security organizations through Fresno County to specify the nutritional deficiencies based on the demographic data gathered.

  • As Training Manager, I effectively created training budgets for the technical, field training, and CSR departments.
