I have been teaching the crane class for the last 9 years with a decent passing rate of those members that have followed through with the application and testing process. I also have been teaching the forklift initials and refresher when I have been at the site. When I am out in the field I try to help fellow members with questions that come about, with equipment and union questions from the new members. As a former apprentice I can relate to the apprentices easier because I have been in their shoes
I have been an active member since joining the apprenticeship in 2004, after completing my apprenticeship I have volunteered and worked at the training site beginning with Rich Dobie and most recently John Leemann. In the field I have done a little bit of everything, lately I’ve been running large crawler cranes and pile driving.
Maintained operator logs, forms and records in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations. Ran crane driving both sheet and h piling
