Additional Information

I have been employed at the Torrance Refinery for over 34 years as an Operator and Firefighter. Began when the refinery was owned by Mobil Oil, and transitioned to ExxonMobil at the time of the merger in 2000, and then stayed on with the sale of the refinery to PBF Energy in 2016. Began work in the Coker Unit as an Assistant Stillman/Operator and became B Operator in 1991. Transferred to the Hydrotreater unit in 1994 and stayed there as an Operator for 2 years, then transferred back to the Coker unit in 1996 when there was a need for experienced staffing. Promoted to Head Operator and took over a shift in 1999. Worked in the Crude unit and assisted with the safe completion of their Turnaround in 2000.

I am focused on safely executing my job duties in a timely manner. I am familiar with PBF safety policies and procedures, and ensure that I and my crew follow them completely. Safety issues are reported quickly and resolutions are achieved through cooperation with supervision in coming up with solutions to process problems.
