Industrial Maintenance Technician

  • Maintain and repair large stamping presses varying in size from 300-1200 tons. We have a wide variety of presses varying in age such as brown&Boggs, Verson, Blow and Danly. We have to be able to delegate if its a setup issue, tooling or maintenance then repair if it falls under maintenance. This is anything that's not die related. all mechanical and electrical repairs are done in house if capable. personally have removed ram arm on 400 ton press to repair worm gear housing and much more. We repair and make all our own PNP and NPN sensors for part present on the dies so very familiar with most sensors brands and functions.
  • Maintain and repair fiber optic lasers. we have three 5 axis BLM lasers and a bystronic 12k flat top laser. Very familiar with repairing and diagnosing laser issues. familiar with parameter adjustments and being able to get a good cut to verify if the laser is functioning correctly. I have done major repairs on heads and much more in house. This includes working on the power source. The only thing i haven't done is work on the fiber optics like splicing etc.
  • Maintain and repair all machines in our tooling department. This includes Haas Mills, Vmc and bridgeports. We also have a few older surface grinders. I ended up with a lot of these responsibilities due to my past work with these brand machines and the fact i can operate all of them. We also have two AGI wire feeders but i have not done much with them besides minimal repairs or PMs.
  • We have multiple pinch weld robot cells that we have to repair sensors, recover fanuc robots after crashes and do minor repairs on robots such as cut cables etc. We also maintain all the welders this includes miller and lincolns.
  • Maintaining and repairing overhead cranes. what we can in house. sizes ranging from 1-25 tons.
  • Assisted and lead in multiple rigging operations to move machines in house or deliver to another one of our plants.
  • Manual and print schematic reading for electrical systems and hydraulics.
  • Currently handle all fabrication projects due to being short staffed. This includes any custom fabrication needed done to a machine or building fixture tables etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining our fire pump house for emergency sprinkler system. This includes testing the pump and verifying all risers have not been damaged. Keeping all pressures regulated correctly.
  • Lead and assisted in multiple Machine installations from beginning to end of process.
  • working on buss bars and relocating power for machines
